Animals Off Display

WE'RE IMPROVING OUR EXHIBITS FOR YOU AND OUR ANIMALS!

AFRICAN RAINFOREST PAVILION REFURBISHMENT PROJECT.
Due to renovations and improvements in the African Rainforest Pavilion, the south half of the Pavilion will be closed as of Tuesday, 2009-09-08. Animals off display will include:

Mammals	Mandrills, Red river hogs, Warthogs, Pygmy hippos, Meerkats.
Birds	Black Crake, Turaco, Mousebirds, Red-bellied Bluebill, Bulbuls, Ibis, Egyptian geese.
Reptiles	Ornate nile monitor, Veiled Chameleon, Nile softshell turtle.
Fish	Aba aba, Zebra eelsAlespes characins,Microtenopena ansorgii, Red eyed characins, Syndontis angelicus, Raimas kheli, Ropefish, Congo logsucker, Dwarf distochodus.

Construction update

• Improvements for you! Africa Rainforest Pavilion Renovation - You've seen the renovated gorilla exhibit. Now we're working on the remaining half of this 2-acre pavilion. We hope to re-open this area later in 2010. Watch for updates

Animals may be temporarily off exhibit due to routine medical check up or brief exhibit maintenance.  Please be sure to check the whiteboard prior to Zoo admission for additional listing of animals off exhibit.
