Careers

In addition to our permanent employees, 375 volunteers donate their time guiding tours for schools and other groups, performing outreach presentations in the community, and assisting with ongoing research by observing animals.
During the summer months, more than 300 seasonal staff are hired to assist with Guest Services, Rides, Retail, Education, Custodial, Groundskeeping, Membership and Safety & Security. Although very few new seasonal staff are assigned to the Animal Care areas, returning seasonals with zoo experience have been transferred.
